Troubleshooting Browser Issues

If Valsight does not work as expected, follow these steps.

I am using a touch-enabled device and the main menu is not working as expected, the Inspector shows unexpected blank areas, the drag&drop sorting components do not work as expected.

In rare cases the browser, the app and touch screens or touch laptops do not work properly together. Here is what can be done until the problem is fixed:

 Drag and Drop works, if you hold the mouse button for one second (instead of instantly on non touch devices)

In Firefox, navigate to about:config and set
dom.w3c_touch_events.enabled to 0

In Google Chrome:

chrome://flags

Set Touch Events API to disabled.

However, in some cases the above setting is not enough to get newer versions of Chrome to work on touch screen. We are investigating the issue. In the meantime, please use Firefox with the above settings on your touch device.
