Valsight Pluggable Modules - Security Architecture

As part of consulting projects, Valsight or a consulting partner may develop specialized Modules that allow the user to process Excel in specific formats, or allows to display or modify data from the Valsight Simulation scenarios.

These modules are customizations that are offered on top of the core Valsight Application. To ensure that all existing permissions and security precautions are met, these pluggable modules are limited to the following operations within Valsight:

• Access the Application through the API as the current user - limiting all operations to that users' scope

• Cannot load external scripts. All needed scripting is embedded in the HTML file, thereby allowing the Pluggable Module to be audited at a certain point in time.
