Release Notes 6.11.0
Version 6.11.0 brings major usability enhancements that streamline the modelling and planning experience. This release focuses on making workflows more intuitive and efficient—whether by duplicating dashboards, managing assumptions, collaborating through comments, or working with time-based aggregations using the new YTD function:
Duplicate Groups of Sheets: Quickly replicate entire dashboard sections across workspaces.
Direct Assumption Category Assignment: Assign values directly in the Scenario Manager for smoother workflows.
Comments in Line-items and Input Tables: Add context-rich comments in change and result view for better collaboration.
New YTD Function: Calculate cumulative values over defined periods to track performance over time.
Duplicate Groups of Sheets
You can now duplicate entire groups of sheets into the same workspace or even a different one. This greatly accelerates dashboard creation and editing. A redesigned dialog lets you rename the group, choose the target workspace, and specify the insertion point. Additionally, when duplicating individual sheets, you can now assign them directly to a target group.
Direct Assumption Category Assignment in Scenario Manager
Assigning Assumption Category values to Assumption Groups is now more intuitive. The new dropdown lets you view and assign labels —highlighted with color and hover states— directly in the Scenario Manager overview for a smoother, more visual assignment process.
Comments in Data Input and Result Tables
It's now possible to write, view, edit, and delete comments in the Change and Result views of Line-items, as well as in data input tables. The feature uses a familiar dropdown menu for seamless interaction, and supports permissions for read-only users.
New YTD Function
Track cumulative performance over time using the new Year-to-Date (YTD) and related functions (QTD, MTD, WTD). These additions enable you to calculate running totals from the start of a period (e.g. year, quarter, month, or week) to the latest data point—making it easier to compare forecasts or actuals. The logic automatically resets at the start of each new period and works across all time levels, including when time data is missing.
Other Improvements
Indicate Source Workflow for Scenarios: Scenarios that originate from workflows now display a subtle icon. Hover to view the workflow name (visible only to users with access).
Rename Projects When Duplicating: Duplicating a project now includes fields to rename it, assign a business key, and add a description—all in one step.
Optimized Assumption Categories Layout and Styling:
Improved Scenario Manager layout: aligned filters and search field for clarity.
Tooltip added in the overview page to explain what the default value means.
Search icon replaced with a consistent filter icon throughout the workspace.
ROLLFORWARD_ADVANCED: The
ROLLFORWARD_ADVANCED
function has been updated to make the use of square brackets around theagingLevels
parameter optional—aligning its behavior with thedrivers
parameter and reducing confusion in usage.
