Defining Simulation Nodes

This page is part of a tutorial. If you have navigated to this page directly you may start the tutorial at https://documentation.valsight.com/documentation/v2-building-a-first-model-step-by-step.

The resulting driver model works fine for our input data, the base case, which can be verified by using the preview data functionality of the nodes. However, we want to be able to simulate different values in a simulation workspace later on. As the model-builders we can explicitly define which nodes can be changed in simulations, by clicking on the (f.e. "Inflation") node, and using the "Allow Simulation" setting. We will now tick the "Allow Simulation" setting for the nodes: "Inflation", "Market" and "Market Share".

If needed, we can also set colors for the nodes, to make it easy to distinguish different concepts.
